Warriors: 6-string signature bass and 5 and 6 string Dran Michaels and more

Keith Horne is a highly talented bassist (also vocalist, guitarist , pedal steel player and drummer)! Keith is admittedly a right-handed person, but when he learned to play guitar he found it easier to play left-handed. When he started playing bass, he was using a friends bass which he couldn’t restring because it wasn’t his. So he just flipped it and played it upside down. It has been his signature, and a mastery all of his career. His touring credits include  Peter Frampton, Tanya Tucker, Waylon Jennings, Sons of the Desert, Trisha Yearwood, Lonestar, Ricky Van Shelton,  and many others. He is also an award winning flay-picking guitar champion in his home state of Virginia. He has been heard by millions of people on the David Letterman show, Jay Leno, and Austin City Limits. Keith has a number of Warrior basses, including a 6-string signature bass and 5 and 6 string Dran Michaels.

Warriors: 3 Dran Michaels, Bella '62, Isabella

True Story...Last year, when listening to another artist, I was asked to come on stage to play a couple of tunes. To politely decline, I said that I didn't have my bass with me. At that point, the other bass played said that I could play his bass, so I agreed to play. I was handed his top of the line Fodera Imperial Elite. After playing for a few minutes, I would have given anything to have had my warrior bass. I found that my Warrior was much more playable, easier to use, much lighter, and had a better sound...I considered playing the Fodera a definite "DOWNGRADE"

Mike began playing bass at the age of 40 years old after being inspired by Zydeco bass player Charlie Wooten in Atlanta. He purchased a $300 bass and quickly realized he had found an instrument he loved to play. Fast forward to 1999 when he purchased his first Warrior, a 5 string spalted maple, likely one of the first 100 made by J.D. and is still his "go bass" when performing. Shortly after, he purchased a 5 string with a natural finish and from then on upgraded through trades with J. D. Mike has owned many Warrior basses, both a 4 and 5 string buckeye burl as well as a 6 string with mahogany top, and bought one of the first Bella 62’s, and also has a 5 string Isabella neck through, just to get a different feel. He has played his collection of Warrior basses with Atlanta area bands Out of the Basement Band, Blue Funky Daddies, Savannah Red, Sundown, Big Muddy, Headhunters, Eric Lee and with Bob Housami, a guitarist who played with Carlos Santana in the 80's. He is currently working almost exclusively on upgrading the Headhunters project and playing in his local church.

I’ve known JD now for many years and I’ve never meet a man who has a more victorious spirit, who has such vision, imagination and insight to create the greatest basses on the planet. He and his staff are always available, and the love they have for everything they do really shows in the sound and top quality of their instruments. I’m so humbled, thankful and proud at the same time to be with Warrior. I simply won’t play anything else. Thank you for always, always being there for me.

Months after moving to Los Angeles and traveling globally with various bands to study his craft with different cultures Ted met John McClain at A&M Records and started recording his solo album as a singer/songwriter. He then performed on the KISS FM “Rad” pack tours with many Multi-platinum artists. Ted and his band “Rat Bat Blue” signed a record deal with Atlantic Records. Their debut album was recorded at Le Studio in Montreal with Producer Rupert Hine. (Rush, Tina Turner and Fleetwood Mac) and after their single tested higher than the “Goo Goo Dolls” and was the most requested song for 3 months in Detroit, their album was shelved before it was released as a corporate shift took place. Their second album was produced by Jim Wirt (No Doubt) under the name PI-Gamma. After touring for several years and playing with many artists including a world tour with Englebert Humperdink and playing with Kina, Martika, Mary Jane Girls “RonKat” and his 10 piece R&B/Funk band (now playing with Parliament) Ted started composing. He scored for various television shows for Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton’s TV and radio broadcast, including the “Weekend Top 30 Countdown,” “What’s Your Beef” (where he also was late night musical director) “Let’s Get Stupid,” and “29 Minutes and Counting.” This work has taken Ted to his next step and is scheduled to score his first major motion picture with “On The Run Entertainment.” References are available from some of the top musicians around if needed. Currently Ted is has a production company in NYC called The Bello Boys which has enjoyed 4 top ten Billboard records. Ted is currently focused on producing records and has created a live VR, AR, AI, EDM music driven Spiritual Sci-fi Show that is targeted to simulcast in 200 domes around the world called STAAARCHILD

If you want the best QUALITY, go with WARRIOR

Christopher Maurice Parks was born on March 3, 1982 in Tupelo, Mississippi. His interest in music began as a child. He would pull pots, pans, forks, and spoons out of the cabinet to form drums to beat and make musical sounds. As he grew older his interest left from the drums to the bass guitar. At the age of thirteen he began to take bass guitar lessons from two young gentlemen where now he has been playing for 13 years. Chris has played with famous artists such as Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC’s, Church of the Living God Mass Choir, Paul Porter of the Christianairs, Evenelyn Turteen-Agee, The Gospel Four of Memphis, TN, JUBU Smith of Frankie Beverly & MAZE, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and Castro “Mr. Sipp” Coleman. The Gospel Four is a national renown gospel quartet group where Chris played the bass guitar on the lastest CD/DVD album entitled “One More Blessing” produced by George Dean. The Group, currently on 4 Life Miracle Records, is nominated for six Stellar Awards in 2009. Chris has played on many national quartet events held all over the United States such as: Cincinnati Blues Festival, GMWA (Gospel Music Workshop of America), Louisiana Gospel Fest, Houston Texas Gospel Jamboree, Radio 1 (Clear Channel) and the Stella Awards at the Grand Ole Orphra in Nashville, TN. Playing the bass guitar has led Chris to travel to many states all over the United States from the East Coast to the West Coast. His experience of playing Traditional Gospel Quartet Music in other states causes many other artists to want to play the same type of bass that he plays, and also his style of music has a great impact on many young artists. Chris is a firm believer that quartet music is a traditional type of music with a funky groove that will last forever. The music has touched the lives of many. Chris’ motto is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family.

Warriors: 2018 Bella 62

The words I have regarding this company is absolutely limitless. I would start by saying that this company is top notch all across the board. The amazing spirits of the whole team is so welcoming and heart touching. After discussing the details for my build with JD he went over and beyond to make sure that it was at 1000%. My Warrior means the most to me because this build was actually a dedication piece to my deceased grandfather and in honor of my living father who has paved the way for me on my musical journey. It hits much deeper and also a cool coincidence as well because my grandfather was a true “Warrior” who stood tall and fought a tough fight in his battle so it definitely raises the bar for me being all to tour all over the world playing a piece that honors him and a representation of who he was. I will forever love this company for making my dream become a reality. Warrior is by far the best team an artist could ask for and I’m extremely grateful to be apart of such this amazing company.

Quinton Moore is a well known amazing bassist out of Greensboro, NC. His creative and groovy bass lines inspire the minds of many across the globe. Born into a strong musically inclined family Quinton embarked on his musical journey at a very young age traveling the road with his father who is also a Bassist. aside from his expertise skills on bass he’s also inclined in other musical instruments as well such as Drums, guitar, and Keyboard. Growing up playing drums for many years, Quinton eventually advanced to playing Bass Guitar in which he has grown to love and made his primary instrument. After graduating High School, Quinton decided to take his music career to the next level. After moving to Greensboro, NC in late 2008 his music career took off and elevated faster than expected. Throughout his career Quinton has toured all over the world and shared the stage with a host of artists playing several different genres of music. Just to name a few, Quinton has had the pleasure of sharing the stage performing with The Renowned FOUR TOPS, Earnest Pugh, Ricco Barrino, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Natural Wonder” Ultimate Stevie Wonder Tribute Band, Carolina Soulband, Pat "Mother Blues" Cohen, Rapper Freeway, Guapo, Tom Browne, Joe Barrino, Kendall McDowell, Derrell Dukes and many more. Warriors: 2011 Dran Michael Signature (Bolt-On), Bella 62 First Generation, Bella 54 (Currently being built)

For the past 8 years, I have been a part of the Warrior Family. JD and the entire staff have been amazing and consistent! When I found Warrior basses, I found MY sound!

William Thompson is a Bassist, Composer, and Producer from the Washington DC area. By the age of 5, he developed an affinity for the drums and could often be found sitting behind the music corner at church on Sundays. At age 12, William along with his cousin, he served as a main drummer for the Children’s Choir at one of the largest churches in the Washington, DC, Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church. As destiny would have it, William’s interest in the drums was overshadowed by his knack for the bass guitar. The hum of the bass was literally in his veins, his father is also an avid bassist. At 15, William asked for his first bass for Christmas. The rest is well, history in the making. William's unique sound can be heard every Sunday at Church of the Rock Praise Factory, where he has served for nearly 20 years as Bassist and Assistant Musical Director. His talents have afforded him many opportunities. Most notably, from 2008-2015 William served as the house bassist/programmer for The Festival of Black Gospel in Ithaca, New York. Through the festival, William shared the stage with artist such as Anita Wilson, Jonathan McReynolds, The Walls Group, KiKi Sheard, Byron Cage, and many more. He has recently been enlisted as the bassist/producer/vocalist for the R&B group AGRMNT.

Warriors: Dran Michael 5-string

Warrior was the bass I fantasized about having. When my opportunity came to meet JD and adopt my very own Dran Michael 5 string, I was amazed at how smooth and effortlessly it played. The first time I played it publically, several people came up to me with comments about how great it sounded. I'm so happy with my new baby!

Keith Alexis grew up playing drums, but when forming a band in his senior year of high school he wound up with a second drummer. Since a band doesn’t need two drummers, he decided to pick up the bass. It quickly became his favorite instrument. A few bands later, from 1996 to 2005, Keith toured across the country playing bass for the Christian Rock band Tinman Jones. The band played and toured with acts such as Skillet, Pillar, Tree 63, Tait, Glenn Kaiser, Sanctus Real, Zoe Girl, Superchick, Benjamin Gate, Bleach, PAX 217, and Reliant K, Switchfoot, Reality Check, The Waiting, Big Tent Revival, Smalltown Poets, and more. During this time the band recorded three albums and two EP's, landing two top ten singles and four additional top twenty songs. Since then, Keith has played bass at his local church, various worship teams and community wide events.
